b) In addition to the surface drainage, the underground drainage is arranged on the top of the bridge parallel to the longitudinal axis of the bridge within its earthen cones. Drainage water is produced either through transverse drainage somewhat away from the bridge, or to the daytime surface in a special heating ground, or into an ordinary well, from which water is periodically pumped out.
