horrormemes6669 - Horror Icon Memes - Several years ago, I was scrawling through the Bloody-Disgusting forums and came across a post from a Jason Morris. He was looking for a writer for a very low budget horror movie. I’ve always been told I was pretty creative, so I figured I’d give it a try. He wanted something different, not a typical slasher or ghost story. And something that wouldn’t cost much to shoot. So I came up with a story of a group of college kids coming to spend the night in an alleged haunted house and accidentally unleashing a demon. The demon preyed on your fears. It was entitled Hell House: The Book of Samiel. It was certainly a process getting the movie made. I e-mailed the screenplay I wrote to Jason and they did some rewrites and such. And they spent about 2 years or so getting the movie made. The final product was ok. There’s definitely some things I’d fix, like the music constantly playing in the background, which is sometimes so loud you can barely hear the actors speak. Also, they felt the need to not only add some random lesbianism, but also a scene of one of the characters pleasuring herself with a vibrator. Not scenes that are necessarily bad, but are just added to pander to teen males. And the lesbianism isn’t something used to explore the character or provide character development, it’s simply to show to two chicks kissing. Overall, it’s a typical low budget direct-to-DVD movie. It faded into obscurity like most do. It was pretty awesome though to hear actors say lines that I wrote though. Truthfully, I turned in the first draft o wrote and I wish I had polished it some before I sent it. Hindsight is 20/20, after all. But overall I’m glad I was a part of it. And I hope one day to become a professional screenwriter, working exclusively in horror movies. . . . . #iconsofhorror #horrormovies #horrorfan #horrornerd #horrorfreak #horrornerd #horrormovie #horrorfilm #scary #horroricon #horroraddict #horrorlife #horrorjunkie #nothorror #horrorfamily #horror #film #movie #horrorgram #horrorlover #horroraddict #hellhouse #indiehorror #demon #demons #fear

houseofcaution - House Of Caution - One Cut Of The Dead - 2017 So what it’s come to with Zombie movies is that we figure out a clever way to roll out the story because zombies are so completely tired and overdone there’s no other options, is that it? We require meta twists and turns and tricks like continuous takes to keep us interested? A zombie movie needs to be a zombie movie about making a zombie movie where people making a zombie movie get attacked by zombies? My head hurts. If I was feeling more generous I could focus on this being a sweet-natured ode to indie filmmaking and horror, which it certainly is but it’s a little too symbiopsychotaxiplasm for me to really sink my teeth into. #horror #horrormovies #moviereviews #horrorlife #horrorcommunity #movies #cinema #zombie #zombiemovie #onecutofthedead #meta #horrorcomedy #zomcom #pom #keepshooting

horrormike.93 - - Jeepers creepers is another movie I can’t decide upon. I really liked this movie a long time ago but with each viewing I find myself more and more bored with less interest. I think the opening and the premise is pretty creepy but the film becomes less creepy to me when it’s revealed to be a supernatural creature.
horrormike.93 - - An original and a remake where I quite like them both. The original Dawn of the dead is an all time classic and the social commentary undertones are quite smart. The remake isn’t as smart but it’s very fun and the story structure and character development flow quite easily and makes for great audience entertainment.
horrormike.93 - - The Halloween remake from the year 2007 is a weird one for me, upon some viewings I really like it and other viewings I really don’t like it. I appreciate the first half of the movie and giving a vastly different take on Michael’s upbringing , usually I don’t like full back story’s but I felt this needed it to be different. The white trash aspect gets annoying at times because it feels out of place in the Halloween universe, also I find the second half of the film to be extremely boring.
horrormike.93 - - My favourite horror franchise. My favourite instalment is part 4 closely followed by part 6. I really do not like the new blood and I’m pretty surprised by all the love it gets from fans. I don’t count Jason X or Jason goes to hell they are just as bad as some of the crap the Halloween franchise has dished up. I’m happy to own these all on blu-Ray but wish the cover art was cooler.
