Hailee explains how you can watch season one of DICKINSON!
DICKINSON - 2019 (Apple tv+) IMDb: 6.8/10
My rating: ⭐⭐⭐(I’m not bad, i’m just made this way)
This was really over the top and fun, just how i like my period dramas.
Let me start by saying that this is not a show for everyone. I really liked the tone and the humor, however, i can understand sometimes it can be a bit too quirky.
It’s the story of Emily Dickinson and her family and friends. The show is set in the XIX century but the tone and the dialogues are really modern and current, which i find to be a really interesting to the always boring and proper period piece.
The cast is truly great too🔥 Led by an always charming and witty Hailee Steinfeld the actors ooze charm and excitement which i found great.
I won’t lie and say this series is always great, because sometimes it is a bit all over the place, ✨but i has enough merits to do aside the slight mistakes. (So yeah, if they make a season 2 i’m going to watch it!) So if you are into period films/ tv shows i would recommend it. I can’t guarantee you’ll love it, but i sure as hell can promise it won’t be a boring watch! 😂

Hailee promoting her appearance on THE LATE LATE SHOW WITH JAMES CORDEN.
Such a great night at #appletv screening that I just had to post. First I spoke to Anna Baryshnikov and she thinks my scene made the cut in Josie and Jack, Then met and spoke to Jane Krakowski for the second time .. still hoping to play sisters sometime, And then to top it off was mistaken for Jane by a fan who for five minutes told me why she was a such a fan. Then we took a photo together for a laugh and memory. All of this happened while surrounded by great friends, actors and great and incredible food ... can’t leave that out. #screening #dickenson #janekrakowski #annabarishynikov #tobyhuss #filmfamily #screening #reception #actresslife #joy

UKS ran for 4 seasons from 2015-2019 with 51 episodes and managed to wrap up with a quality ending.
This one is written and created by Tina Fey and Robert Carlock, the same minds behind 30 Rock and this does feel a lot like that. It has the same goofy tone and upbeat/quirky humor, the writing is really fun, the jokes are awesome and it actually has a decent through line story.
An issue i have is it can get a little wacky at times and sometimes it has these really weird moral episodes that feel childish.
The characters are all hilarious they all have solid development, relationships and the chemistry between them works so well.
The acting from the comedy aspect is spot on, everyone really understands and becomes their character. I have to say my two favourites are Tituss Burgess and Jane Krakowski they are so over the top and funny, the rest of the cast has Carol Kane, Ellie Kemper, Sara Chase, Sol Miranda, Lauren Adams, Mile Carlsen, Amy Sedaris, Jon Hamm and Dylan Gelula.
In conclusion this is just a really fun comedy show thats a light watch and an easy binge, i think fans of 30 Rock will definitely love this.
