On the night of the State of the Union address, Tom Kirkman, the Secretary of Housing and Urban Ddeveloment is spending time with his family when he suddenly hears that an attack on Washington D.C. kills the president and everyone in the line of succession. With all the line of succession dead, and being chosen as the designated survivor, he is sworn to become the president of the United States.
Just by the intro, 's shocking premise immediately keeps viewers hooked to the screen. The story takes place in the White House and is led by Kiefer Sutherland, who plays as President Thomas Kirkman. The audiences feel a sense of urgency and intensity from the beginning and this tension lasts throughout the entire season thanks to Sutherland's top-notch performance.
At first, he seems indecisive, clueless, and lacks the charisma and leadership skills. Luckily, he has a small group of people inside the White House whom he can trust. Emily Rhodes (Italia Ricci) is a hard-working, loyal, steadfast influence to the president. Seth Wright (Kal Penn), who actually served as the associate director of the Office of Public Engagement under President Obama, adds an occasional moment of humor inside the White House. Kirkman's wife, Alex is smart, supportive, and makes a great partner in general. While Agent Hannah Wells (Maggie Q), who plays the FBI agent adds a sense of seriousness as she tries to find out who is responsible for the attack in the Capitol.
Although the show takes place in the White House, it's not all about politics. The plot also uncovers how the Capitol was attacked and it ensures that there are action scenes, romance, and humor in between as the show balances out the political fantasy by showing realistic issues through portraying familiar topics to stay realistic. But more than the investigation of the attack on Washington itself, the show makes viewers ask questions about what kind of President Kirkman will become--will his stressful environment take over and burden him or will he rise above the occasion and remains as one of the most successful POTUS in history?
Fala, maníacos, vamos falar de um clássico?
Conta Comigo (Stand by Me) - 1986
Oq será do nosso futuro? Fica a dica! Por Edgar.B.
Curiosidades: Baseado num conto de Stephen King chamado O Corpo. O longa ganhou uma indicação ao Oscar de Melhor Roteiro Adaptado.

Seen briefly on the boardwalk in The Lost Boys, ‘Laffing Sal’ was produced in Pennsylvania in the 1920’s and is one of several automated characters that were built primarily to attract carnival and amusement park patrons to funhouses and dark rides throughout the United States. It’s movements were accompanied by a raucous laugh that sometimes frightened small children and annoyed adults. 🦇
I finally have seasons 1-5 of "24" on DVD. this is my favorite show of all time!! #24 #kiefersutherland
Tim Cappello performing ‘I Still Believe’ at this years @ftlohorror convention in Manchester. Tim performed the song a few times over the weekend and stole the show for many attendees. The final Sunday performance of the song attracted a massive crowd to which Tim shouted “THAT WAS THE BEST F*CKING SHOW I’VE EVER DONE” 🎷🦇
At last my David bust is complete, jackets added. The grail piece of my collection 🦇🦇🦇
In 1991 Julia Roberts was possibly the biggest movie star in the world. The Pretty Woman leading lady, just 23 years old at the time, was set to marry her Flatliners co-star Kiefer Sutherland on June 14. Just three days before the wedding, Roberts called the event off and hopped on a flight to Ireland with Sutherland’s good buddy Jason Patric.
Corey Haim and Jason Patric 🦇...
“Corey created the character of Sam from the ground up, and was great with it. Although I got close with Corey throughout the making of the film, if he was ever out of line, I always put him back in line; either as an older brother or as a professional. Whether it was by taking a brotherly shove to say “Buck up” he was such a fun loving kid, and such a unique talent. You can’t imagine The Lost Boys without him in it” - Jason Patric [Michael]
RIP Corey Haim
