Wishing you a #HappyValentinesDay with 'Organization of Love', a #OneMinuteSculpture by #ErwinWurm
Join us and participate in your own 'action as sculpture' and have your performance recorded in a photograph for you to keep as well as feature on @OneMinuteSculptures. Watch the live staging of works from the series that inspired a #RedHotChilliPeppers video, on view as part of the largest solo exhibition in the UK to date by Austrian Erwin Wurm. Opening 6-8pm Tuesday 19 February in our London gallery.
“It’s an abstract form of a kiss. When you look at an orange it has nothing to do with a kiss. But when you bite into an orange and it gets juicy and sweet and wet and a bit sour - that’s what a kiss should be.” Erwin on the One Minute Sculpture pictured here.
Erwin Wurm: New Works presents five bodies of work that showcase the artist's sustained interest in the varied intersections of the physical and psychological, at times with a sense of the surreal or absurd. In the participatory One Minute Sculptures, including Double Bucket and Organisation of Love, on loan from @Tate, viewers are instructed to interact with everyday items in a manner dictated by the artist, placing the participants in an awkward or paradoxical relationship to the object. A new body of ceramics, new works on paper and a 'Fat Mini', a new work in the artist's 'Fat Car' series, will also be on view, among others.
See our link in bio for full details and performance timings.

Was I a model for this months @erwinwurm @voguemagazine photoshoot, or did I just do the lighting? Get the mag to find out! Seriously, I’m such a fan of this guy never thought I’d meet him let alone model for him. We like to call this #oneminutesculpture “We are laughing on the Inside”, because, well it wouldn’t be art if I had to explain it now would it ..
Thanks for this @minekasapoglu and for the great 🖼 @l_aura_tocchet
Erwin Wurm offers up a fashionable take on his iconic One Minute Sculptures in the December issue of @VogueMagazine.
Wurm’s One Minute Sculptures are made up of drawings, props, and instructions that are typically enacted by viewers, forming durational artworks that challenge the boundaries of sculpture and performance. For #Vogue, models @AdutAkech and @Winnniy Akech bring the artist’s vision to life.

Last weekend has me reminiscing! 🌹
These photos are from 2017 when I exhibited at my first-year exhibition, “Making Meaning”, as part of my @uonsoci core courses. 🥰
In this little showcase I exhibited some one-minute sculptures, whereby the subject was to hold the pose in the frame for sixty-seconds while I photographed them. 📸
Featured pieces were “You’ve Been Framed!” (2017) and “The Beast Unleashed” (2017), along with some untitled mini sculptures. 🎨
• The One Minute Sculpture •
We were instructed to do a one minute sculpture involving the human body. This is one of my favorites. It started out as me wanting to see just how many books I can balance on my head, and then my self. This also signifies balancing many different responsibilities at once, such as school, work, homework, social, family, self-care, all things under the sun. Sometimes the books or responsibilities drop, and crash, but the important part is to pick them back up and try again.

Thank you guys, we were REALLY inspired by Erwin Wurm and had so much fun! Your ideas for photos are precious ❣️ I'm really glad that I'm here and now, spending time with such an amazing people.
