messinadressblog - Mess in a Dress - This week was full of beautiful sunrises and sunsets. To me, they symbolize the beauty to both beginnings and endings...no matter how simple or complex they may be. ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ Sometimes changes, beginnings, and endings can throw us off course. But they can also be embraced as an opportunity. They’re usually essential to moving us toward the future and closer to the person we’re meant to become. ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ Change isn’t something we can avoid. If we stayed the same, we would never grow. That means we have to forgive ourselves for past mistakes and trust ourselves to learn from them. ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ For me, the last few months and even year have been full of these changes and lessons. It isn’t always east but I’m confident it’s worth it. ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ How do you embrace changes, mange transitions, and keep a healthy perspective? ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ #messinadress #change #transition #life #perspective #followme #igers #doubletap #comment #sunset #sunrise #blogger #happy
clydesdaleonatrail - Colin Rettammel - Let's talk about disappointment and decision making. This is my gear bag for Devil Dog 100, which I'm not running today because I'm lying on my couch (but good luck to those who are!). I was stoked to end my year with another buckle at a race that I love... It didn't work out that way. - Last weekend I managed to get a sweet case of acute bronchitis, and as anyone who's been there can tell you, it's not the kind of thing that fades quickly. So, I could try to run 100 miles in the freezing cold with a serious respiratory infection, or miss my first race ever due to an illness. - There are some endurance athletes out there who seem to think that "toughness" is beating up your body as much as possible, just pushing forward no matter how dangerous it is. I think that's dangerous garbage. Sometimes, toughness is making the smart decisions - not letting your ego be so fragile that you do something really harmful to yourself. I got that wrong earlier this year and I paid for it with a hospital visit, but I was lucky it wasn't worse. So, here i am unpacking my gear and ending my year on a real low note - but I'm proud of myself. I made the right call. I have many more races to run, many more adventures to have, and much more life to live. Fear of missing out is real...but perspective is more powerful.

debghealth - Deb Gutierrez - Perceived Pain sometimes is a great teacher. . In case you couldn’t tell - I am taking an honest look at my reactions and the effect they have on myself and others. 😎 . “𝘌𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘪𝘯 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘭𝘪𝘧𝘦 𝘳𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘯𝘰𝘸 𝘪𝘴 𝘴𝘪𝘮𝘶𝘭𝘵𝘢𝘯𝘦𝘰𝘶𝘴𝘭𝘺 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘵𝘰𝘭𝘦𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘺𝘰𝘶’𝘳𝘦 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘮𝘪𝘵𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘰. If others don’t believe in you, it’s because you don’t believe in you. . The more you create and tolerate repetitive negative, anxious emotions, the more you attract negativity and anxiousness. . The more you create and expect goodness, infinite possibilities, happiness, excellent health, and abundance, you will create and receive more of those. . Take a look, get honest about what you TRULY want for yourself. The ”less than” story serves no purpose and is holding you back. . You are Worthy of all you desire, but maybe just maybe, you need to get out of your own way. What are you tolerating that doesn't serve you?
