Super psyched about the majestic architectural haven ‘K11 MUSEA’, which is Hong Kong’s Silicon Valley of Culture.
A fusion mix of cutting edge design combined with a celebration of arts and culture, be inspired by world class offerings. ‘K11 MUSEA’ gives the local community along with new consumers a space to come together.
K11 MUSEA, ‘A Muse By The Sea’ is the key importance and essential part of the 10-year regeneration of Victoria Dockside and it forms Hong Kong’s Silicon Valley of Culture.
A ravaged camp 1, deep in interior #Antarctica 7 years ago. Oh the things we do for fun! Taken on my very first assignment for @natgeo@natgeochannel on what was among the hardest expeditions I’ve ever been a part of with @mikelibecki@coryrichards@freddiewilkinson . I’ve been blessed with a life of fun and adventure but this weekend I’ll be starting the biggest yet with my wife @danahrichardson as we sit at the hospital preparing to meet our son! More on this soon ❤️
Many have commented on my other account @garylawrancearchitect when viewing my 3d model of the now gone Harbor Hill mansion as to why on the left side of the front facade there are two blank windows. It always troubled me too, but one can see from this first photo that the grand staircase occupied the space behind those blank windows. Also see the floor plan here in the third image. I do wonder why the staircase ended up designed this way, since after studying the first and second floor plans, I might have done something different. The architect/client relationship between famed Gilded Age Architect Stanford White and Mrs. Mackay, the wife of Clarence Mackay who commissioned the mansion was often difficult. Mrs. Mackay had some very strong design opinions, so maybe it was a decision on her part? I’ve said it before, but it’s worth repeating - Mexico is my fav country for travel. Might not be for everyone tho... There’s a lot that can, and most likely will go wrong. This isn’t an established adventure destination like the Alps or the US parks system. To get here we parked in an obscure neighborhood, dipped under a freeway bridge, and bushwhacked/scrambled up the mountain. But if you’re like me, the added degree of challenge makes it more appealing, and the payoff, much sweeter.
@jess.wandering and I crossed into Mexico 3 days ago, and already have some fun stories to tell. Much more to come. 🇲🇽
Wow! I can’t believe that we’re already posting the season finale of Moments in Time! And I think the epic seascapes of the Basque Country in Northern Spain are the perfect backdrop for Francesco Gola to explain our long exposure photography techniques. Of course, we have to escape Milano to get all of our camera gear there first. ;) Follow the link on my profile to view the entire episode.
