Audi demonstrated a system that can be activated using a smart telephone, without a driver behind the steering wheel. Parking systems have several reignation protocols. For most parking systems, if the driver uses brakes or moves the steering wheel, the automatic parking algorithm stops and the driver resumes control over the car.
