Often in bricks you can see rectangular holes. They are called voids. They affect the thermal insulation properties of the future brick wall. A brick with such holes is called hollow. The more voids in brick, the warmer the wall of the house will be. Also hollow brick is much easier. So, a smaller load goes to the foundation. It should be noted that the ceramic stone cannot be hollow.
