Using a square, steel roulette and a marking knife, mark the length. First, setting the zero line on one edge of the workpiece, measure about 6-7 mm. This is the minimum value that can be cut off without difficulty with a boat saw then move the ruler so that the zero stands on the mark of 6-7 mm, and measure the desired length of the workpiece (so that 6-7 mm remains).
