The usual criterion for assessing the appropriateness of the use of piles with the specified layers of the soil is the depth of piles, which should be in this case at least one and a half width of the foundation. The above ratio corresponds to the depth to which the stresses in the indicated soil strata are extended. In the soils giving small sediment with high uneven siege of individual foundations of one structure, they should not be expanded if the pressure distribution lines made from the edges of the two adjacent shoes of existing foundations under the co -co -land are crossed at a depth of 3 — 5 m. In this case, apparently, the correct solution would not be the reconstruction of the foundations in order to increase the area of the base, but either an additional load on those foundations that gave a lower sediment, or the device of a continuous stiff foundation plate under the part or the entire building to prevent uneven sediment.
